Built in Scotland in 1914 M/Y Halas was promptly requisitioned by the British goverment for the war effort and only arrived in Turkish waters in 1918.
Five more years passed before the Allied Headquarters handed it over to its Turkish owners who employed it as a passenger ferry on the Bosphorous for the next 65 years.
Bought in 1985 by its present owners, the vessel was totally refurbished over a period of four years and converted into a luxurious floating palace.
Achored on the Bosphorous at Istinye, Istanbul, during the winter months, this elegant vessel is where you would want to welcome your friends for a truly exclusive reception or dinner party.
Beginning of July each year M/Y Halas sails to Gocek, a secluded bay on the Lycian coast only 20 km from Dalaman International Airport. That will be her main home until the end of August, when she returns to Istanbul.
The vessel may be chartered on a full charter basis or per cabin, for 1,3,4,7 day cruises along the beautiful bays, coves and inlets dotted in the Gulf of Fethiye.
The luxurious accommodation on M/Y Halas is well matched by impeccable service and truly delicious food.
